Couldn't have said it better myself!!!
I found this quote on a random website, dunno who wrote it but it made me smile and I agree wholeheartedly!!

For The Boys.......
I think guys have it so fucking handy pandy!!! They can just throw on a cool t-shirt, a pair of jeans and some cool kicks and they look shit hot!! That's the bare minimum they have to do to look good so anything they do beyond that and they look just fantastic, yummy! Anyway, as an ode to this phenomenon I thought I'd show some of my more recent favourite t-shirts for boys! Fisrt off, a new brand called Nevermind from New Zealand have recently banged out their first few pieces and they are good, VERY good! Of course, you can't find them everywhere which generally means you can find them on WeSoldOut by Colette.

Next we have Stussy, a fairly old skool brand which has been around for a good long time now but in the last while they have definately been coming up with some very cool designs. They latest project has been teaming up with some of the coolest artists on the planet to create a collection. The following three are my favourites from the collection - The first was designed by SoMe, Ed Banger's head honcho designer! The second was designed by Delta and the 3rd by HOT NY artist Eric Elms who has designed everything from logos, flyers, shops to clothing. This collection is also on WeSoldOut but I know that Urban Outfitters have recently started stocking Stussy aswell!

SO Much and NOT So Much!
Things I'm liking so much right now:
Things I'm Not So Much Liking Right Now:
- The Gilbert and George Collection by Tatty Devine. It's now available online because they clearly realised that it was the shit!!!! Here are my favs:
- The new Nike dunks that are going to be my first purchase when my staff discounts get renewed in a few weeks! They are the BOMB!!!

- The Indian Print Dress in the Kate Moss Summer Collection for Topshop. I know, I can't believe I'm saying this because I have been very vocal about how much I have disliked her collections so far but if it's good, it's good!!
Things I'm Not So Much Liking Right Now:
- The bad start to the festival season with Chemical Brothers having to cancel their set at Gatecreasher last weekend due to flooding from the rain along with the tragic death of a man at the same event! Let's hope this is not a taste for things to come this summer!!

MSTRKRFT - VUVUVU
Kid Cudi - Day 'N' Nite (Fairly new MC, signed to Fools Gold, Kanye's indie label, home of A-Trak, Kid Sister.....) - The Crookers remix of this is also off the chain!
Santogold - L.E.S Artistes (Whoever is comparing this girl to M.I.A needs their head examined - the only thing they have in common is that they both worked with Switch and Diplo!!)
Apologies for the first two videos which are SHIT!!! This is obviously because I havn't had time to figure out audio postings, maybe some day!

Colette, c'est chouette!!!
Just a very quick post to direct you to the monthly addition of colette TV. It's basically a run-down of their favourite products of the months and has funny features and stuffs on it! I may or may not have already expressed how much I love this shop but if I haven't it is important that you know that it is one of the best shops in the world - BASTA!
So off you go to this link now: COLETTE TV

P.S........
FACT - Scarlet Johansson has a really amazing voice! She's done some great Tom Waits covers which you will have to go find yourself because I'm still useless at this!!
Pick of the day
I'm gonna keep this short and sweet:
- What a song!
- What a video!
- Yes, everyone NOSE what it's about (Lindsay Lohan is in it for the love of God - great career move there, what a clever girl!)
- Pharrell Williams is a RIDE!
That is all.

Alice McCall for Topshop - YAY!
I discovered Alice McCall last year and I'm a huge fan of her stuff, to the point whereI'm a little bit obsessive but that's really only because I can't afford most of her stuff because I've been a poor student for the last five years but now she's designing a collection for Topshop which is going to be available in the next couple of weeks so I can't bloody wait to get my hands on the stuff! Haven't been able to locate any piccies of the collection yet but if it's Alice McCall it's gonna be good! (Unless she does something really weird - I find some designers who do collections for the high-street end up really disapointing me by produces something that is really bland and BLAH and that has no essence of that designer! So please may you not do that Alice, that'd be great, thanks!)
To tide us over here are my favourites from her most recent collection along with some of last season's which I think look just as BAM! HOT! now!!!

Pick of the Day: Me Lykke!!
This is going to sound kind of weird, but the reason that Lykke Li won my heart was because she used steel drums in her song "Little Bit" - her first single. I'm a sucker for steel drums, the sound just seduces me! Ok enough freaking people out!
Lykke Li is a Swedish lovely, I woud liken her to Feist, and her debut album is called 'Youth Novels'. I've heard a good few of the tracks and I have a feeling she is going to become big really fast so get in there now before radio ruins her :( (You can check out some of the tracks on her MYSPACE)
She's also playing the Sugar Club on the 12th of June - I hope she brings the steel drums!!!
Here's her video for "Little Bit" (with the steel drums!!!) :)

Lovely Jubbly!!!
I came across this very cool little brand the other day and thought I would share it!
It's still quite a small range but there are some really cool tees and I especially love their novelty tetris necklace which is actually made from the 1990 Nintendo Tetris boardgame! Very kitsch indeed! I love the word kitsch! It's called Electra French by the by!
The prices are super duper low and postage and packaging is free worldwide!!!
AND! I love them even more because they use environmentally friendly printing methods which minimise waste and everything!!!
I HAVE TO tell you about.......
.......one of the best DJ sets I've seen in a while! Kavinsky! What an amazing set! The guy is mezmerising, I spent the whole time going crazy whilst being in complete awe, it's like a spell, you just can't stop looking at him, so strange, I've never really had that before, not to that extent anyway!
Take my advice and go and see him at Spy on the 18th of June or at Oxegen, it will be well worth it. YUMSIES!!!

Ksubi doo-be-doo!!!
A great label that doesn't as much exposure as it should (though it might be better that way!) is Ksubi! It's really edgy whilst not compromising femininity and the prints that they use for their t-shirts are always so original - I always feel like a magpie who sees something shiney when I look at them. More recently, they have been famed for their sunglasses which were brought to the mainstream by Kanye West who helped design the iconic ones he's been wearing in his last few videos and public appearances. (You know the ones that look like it would be impossible to see with!!!) Anyway, such was the success of this collaboration that Ksubi have decided to lauch a limited edition collection with Kanye this summer which is to include an extra limited edition gold pair. This is one of the many ways in which Ksubi have become more and more involved in the music scene. Many of the more cutting edge artists and DJs are big fans of the Aussie design duo. There is most definately a clear interest as Dan Single, one of the founders of the label, remixed a CD under the K7 label called ‘KSUBI presents DJ KICKS CD for! K7 RECORDS’ last year. I'm a big fan of fashion labels who incorporate music into their brand, it's the type of company that would be a dream to work for!!! Anywho, here are my favourites from their current collection but check out their WEBSITE too, it's like a google search engine! Cool Bastards!!!

I love a bit of contraversy......
......especially when it comes from France because they LOVE kicking up a fuss about stuff over there! My beloved France!
So this time it's Justice! Their new video for the single 'Stress' will definately be rubbing people up the wrong way! For anyone who has seen 'La Haine' (one of the best films EVER!!), it's like the new millenium version, except this time the little Racailles don't seem to have a cause, I think they just genuinely wanna wreck the gaff!! The video was directed by Romain Gavras. The song is literally stressful! Wonderful!
Give it a look see and a hear see!
Speaking of Justice they have just recently designed one of their signature denim jackets and some jeans which will be available exclusively at Colette (C'est chouette!) I think it's all a bit too gimicky with the leather jacket but have a look and see what you think!
