Her style (along with that of M.I.A) has been dubbed as "Brooklyn Jammin'", which basically translates as a mix of different looks all within the one style, often clashing! I'm not really one for these kinds of labels or making rules or whatever, I just think the girl wears whatever she wants and that's it! I love that she's not really just one look!
Anyway, I came to think about her style the other night because I often get negative comments on my style on nights out (from complete strangers who I never even invited to comment!!) in Dublin and I was just wishing for some more open-mindedness! Whilst Dublin is a capital city with an ever-growing appreciation for fashion, I think that it can still be difficult to have individual style - as in, not necessarily follow the mainstream. Then again, there are lots of closed-minded people in every city so maybe it's not just here!
I wouldn't imagine that this is something that Santogold would even give a second thought to and I think that's the route I'm going to take aswell.

I love Santogold. Her style seems to have no rules but there some sort of weird feng shui that allows everything to be in equilibrium.
